liquid fuels:most of the liquid fuels in use are the hydrocarbons which exists in liquid phase at room temperature.example: gasoline, paraffins, diesel,fuel oil.

gaseous fuel:some of gaseous fuel exist naturally at room temperature and some are made by the treatment of coal.example:coal gas,coke oven gas, product gas.
