1.

The molar specific heat of a gas at constant volume is 20.8 J/mol.k. Two moles of the gas are heated at constant volume so that the rise in temperature is 10 K. Find the heat supplied to the gas.

Answer»

Data : Cv = 20.8 J/mol.K, n = 2, Tf – Ti = 10 K.

The heat supplied to the gas,

Q = nCv(Tf – Ti) = (2) (20.8) (10) J

= 416J
