The place value of never changes |
|
Answer» Place values ( Units, tens, hundreds,….. ) are fixed in a NUMBER SYSTEM. They do not change. A digit has an intrinsic value which is multiplied by the place value to arrive at its CONTRIBUTION to the number. Example: In 23, the place value of 2 is 10. Multiplied by its intrinsic value, its contribution is 20. 0, in view of its intrinsic value, when multiplied by any place value, contributes nothing |
