Ajay SCORED 30 / 60 in his  first test and 35 / 60 in improvement test.

SONU scored 42 / 70 in his first test and in 50 / 60 in improvement test. Manish scored 50 / 60 in his first test and 42 / 50 in improvement test.

To Find :

I. What fraction of improvement did Manish MADE?

II. Which STUDENT improved the most?

Solution:

Ajay in 1st test  = 30/60  = 1/2

Ajay in improvement test = 35/60  =  7/12

Improvement = 7/12 - 1/2  =   1/12

Sonu in 1st test  = 42/70  = 3/5

Sonu in improvement test = 50/60  =  5/6

Improvement =  5/6 - 3/5  =  7/30

Manish  in 1st test  = 50/60  = 5/6

Manish  in improvement test = 42/50  =  21/25

Improvement =  21/25 - 5/6  =   1/150

Manish make 1/150  improvement

7/30 >  1/12  >  1/150

Hence  Sonu  improved the most
