Two sides of an isosceles triangle measure 5 cm and 13 cm. What is the possible valueof the third side? |
|
Answer» the THREE sides in an isosceles triangle are EQUAL so the third side can be 5CM or 13 cm so as to be equal to one of the sides the sum of any TWO sides in a triangle is always greater than the third side so if the third side is 5 then 5+5=10 is not greater than thirteen but 13 + 13 = 26 is greater than 5 thats why the answer is 13 |
