Answer» SOLUTION :From the study of the characteristics ofa PN JUNCTION it is clear that a p-n junction conducts when connected in forward bias and praclically does rnut ALLOW fluw ofa current when connected in reverse bias. This property of p-n junction is made USE of in rectification of an a.c. into a d.c.
