The upper energy level is called the end point energy and is the characteristic of nature of `beta`-emitter. The given figure shows the spectrum of the `beta`-particles emitted with end point shows the energy 1.17 M eV. 2. Every `beta`-particle energy distribution curve has a well defined maximum whose height and position depend upon the nature of `beta`-emitter.
