Detergents having linear ALKYL CHAINS are biodegradable. Non-biodegradable detergents are those which are not decomposed by microorganisms in the environment. They create water pollution. For example, n-lauryl sulphonate is biodegradable WHEREAS detergent with branched chains are non-biodegradable. | |
