What are biodegradable and non biodegradable detergents ? Give one example of each. |

Answer» Solution :The detergent which can decomposed by bacteria is known as biodegradable detergent. They are LINEAR CHAIN of hydrocarbons. e.g., Sodium laurylsulphate. The detergent which can not decomposed by bacateria is CALLED non-biodegradable detergent. They had long hydrocarbon chain which is HIGHLY branched so bacteria can not degrade easity. e.g., Sodium benzen sulphonate. |
