Simple Statement: Any statement, however long or short, that has only one subject-verb combination and EXPRESSES a complete thought is a Simple Statement consisting of 1 subject and 1 verb. Example: The tired, dirty and footsore tourists, STRAGGLED wearily ACROSS the bridge, up the hill and FINALLY into the rest house. Compound Statement: It consists of two or more than two complete thoughts. Example: JIYA wants biryani for dinner, but she forgot to buy meat. thanks..!!! |
