(ii) Food preservatives : Food preservatives are the compounds which prevent spoilage of food due to microbial GROWTH. e.g., sodium benzoate, vinegar. (iii) Synthetic detergents are cleansing AGENTS which have all the properties of SOAP but actually do not contain any soap. e.g., Sodium lauryl SULPHATE. |
