What Can You Do Over The Air? |

Answer» "Over the air" is remote configuration with no physical CONNECTION from the EMPLOYEE device to a computer server. Any data transfer occurs over WIRELESS (WiFi or 3G). In this MODE MobileIron can provision, wipe, encrypt and lock phones, but cannot backup data or upgrade the OS. This limitation is in the process of being ADDRESSED by various OS vendors.
