What distinguishes pole star from other stars? |
Answer» <p>A pole star is simply a star in close alignment to the geographical pole of the observing planet. This gives it the unique ability to appear roughly in the same place in the sky at all times, making it a useful navigational marker.</p><p>In the northern hemisphere our pole star is Polaris in the constellation of Ursa Minor. It's not perfect but is relatively close to the axis of the North Pole. It's also very bright making it easy to spot.</p> <p>name an organism that reproduces by budding.</p> | |
