What is a “build-breaker”?

Answer»

The build-breaker is a condition that OCCURS when there is a defect in the software. This results in a sudden unanticipated bug; the compilation process FREEZES or execution fails or a warning is caused. The duty of the tester is then to GET the software BACK to the healthy WORKING stage and it is the onus of the developer to resolve the bug and make this build normal, as soon as possible.
