Answer» Solution :A nucleoside consists of ALLL the three BASIC components of nucleic acids, i.e., a nitrogenous base (purine or pyrimidine) , a five CARBON sugar (ribose or deoxyribose) and phosphoric ACID. A nucleoside is obtained when the nitrogenous base is attached to `C_1` of the sugar by a `beta` - linkage and a NUCLEOTIDE is obtained when `C_5'-OH` of the sugar is esterified with phosphoric acid.
