Definition of Task: 

User stories represent work broken down into single units, called tasks, that are usually completed by one person. 

Use of Tasks: 

Tasks are small increments of work to be completed during a sprint. The TEAM CREATES tasks on post-it notes and PUTS them on up their Agile task board. 

Tasks Benefits: 

  1. User stories are broken into small manageable units 
  2. Team members complete the tasks without feeling overwhelmed 
  3. They can EASILY identify the tasks created on the task board
