Answer» When the antenna is RECEIVING with a load resistance MATCHED to the antenna radiation resistance, maximum power is TRANSFERRED to the load and the power is also re-radiated from the DIPOLE. This is called antenna matching. When the antenna is receiving with a load resistance matched to the antenna radiation resistance, maximum power is transferred to the load and the power is also re-radiated from the dipole.
