Answer» SOLUTION :CATALYST:A catalyst is a substance which increase the rate of reaction without itself UNDERGOING any permanent chemical change.e.g. `MnO_(2)` catalyses the following reaction so as to increase its rate considerably . `2KClO_(3)overset(MnO_(2))to2KCl+3O_(2)` INHIBITOR:When the added substance reduces the rate of reaction is called inihibitor .The word catalyst should not be used for inhibitor.
