Answer» Solution :OXIDATION of glycerol with `Br_(2)//H_(2)O` (or) NAOBR (or) Fenton reagent `(FeSO_(4) + H_(2)O_(2))` gives a mixture of glyceraldehyde and dihydroxy acetone (This method is named as glycerose).
