Solution :Gold NUMBER is DEFINED as minimum number of milligram of a protective colloid that must ADDED to 10ml of a STANDARD gold solution to PREVENT coagulation when 1 ml of a`10%` aqueous solution of NaCl is added to it. Lower the gold number means greater is the protective power of the protecting colloid and vice versa.
