What is gradient of inclination? Support your answer with an example. |

Answer» Gradient of inclination : “The ratio between the vertical distance moved by a body and the horizontal distance travelled along the inclined plane is called grade of inclination” or gradient of inclined plane. e.g. If a body riser 10m vertically when it moves along the inclined plane by 200m or sinθ 10/200 = 1/20 = then inclination grade is said to be 1 in 20. Higher is the magnitude of gradient the more difficult is the slope to climb and vice-versa. While laying hill roads, the gradient is kept allow as possible. |
