1.	What is meant by the term "Chromatography" ?
Answer» Solution :The term chromatography is derived from the Greek WORD "Chroma" MEANS colour and "graphy" means writing because the method was first used for seperation of plant PIGMENTS into individual COMPONENTS. Chromatography is BASED on principle of adsorption. The different components of the mixture get adsorbed differently on the adsorbent. Theadsorbed components are removed by suitable solvent known as Eluent.
