What Is Optcounter ? How Does It Work ? |
|
Answer» OPTCOUNTER is the field used in all tables for Optimistic locking. Whenever a client updates a record in the table , WCS increments the OPTCOUNTER for that table so that this value can be COMPARED in case the other client try to update it to see if SOMEONE ELSE updated it in the duration between its retrieval and update.
