1.	What is the basic structural difference between starch and cellulose ?
Answer» Solution :The basic structural difference between STARCH and cellulose is of linkage between glucose UNITS. In starch, there is `alpha`-D glucosidic linkage. But in cellulose, there is a LINEAR POLYMER of `beta`-D-glucose in which `C_1` of one glucose UNIT is connected to `C_4` of the other through `beta`-D-glucosidic linkage.
