A storm is a short-lived, very hard wind over an area that produces brief downpours, thunder and lightning. It forms in the warm and humid air.

A tornado or cyclone as it can also be called is a local phenomenon in which a column of spinning air that moves underneath a heavy thunderstorm.

Tornadoes are more devastating. It is like a hose and sucks up everything on and above the ground.
