Answer» SOLUTION :Conductivity of a substance is its conductance when it is 1 m long and its AREA of cross-section is `1 m^2`. SPECIFIC conductance is the same thing as conductivity. IUPAC now recommends the USE of term conductivity in place of specific conductance.
