1.	What is the role of diffusion in heterogenous catalysis ?
Answer» SOLUTION :Firstly, the geseous reactant molecules diffuse TOWARDS the SURFACE of the SOLID catalyst. Here, they get adsorbed which then REACT to form proudects which are adsorbed on the surface. Now diffusion away of the product molecules from the surface is required so that the surface is again free for adsorption of more reactant molecules and the phenomean is repeated over and again.
