We should remain seated in our vehicle till the earthquake tremors are not over. 5. Even after the earthquake tremors are over, things like refrigerator, photographs on the wall, ceiling fans, etc. may fall down later due to aftershocks. Hence, maintain safe distance from them. 6. Keep listening to radio for instructions and guidance about the event. 7. New buildings under construction should be made earthquake-proof.
