Answer» Most of the arable land in the Champaran district was divided into large estates. Britishers were the owners of those estates. Indian peasants worked in those estates. The chief commercial crop was indigo. चम्पारण जिले की ज्यादातर कृषि योग्य भूमि बड़ी-बड़ी जागीरों में बँटी थी। इन जागीरों के मालिक अंग्रेजथे। भारतीय किसान इन जागीरों में काम करते थे। मुख्य व्यावसायिक फसल नील थी। |
