Answer» It is recommended that a single POINT calibration be PERFORMED in the field, both before and after your test. Testing in the actual environment helps account for CHANGES to the sensitivity stemming from fluctuations in temperature, humidity and atmospheric pressure. If a calibration is done with a speakerphone (Models CAL200 or CAL250) or a pistonphone, both before and after the tests, there will be a much HIGHER degree of confidence that the test results are VALID.
