When is the magnetic flux said to be positive?(a) θ = 180^o(b) θ = 360^o(c) θ = 0^o(d) θ = 90^oThis question was posed to me during a job interview. My enquiry is from Electromagnetic Induction in division Electromagnetic Induction of Physics – Class 12

Answer»

The correct OPTION is (c) θ = 0^o

For explanation I would SAY: A normal to a plane can be drawn from either side. If the normal drawn to a plane points out in the DIRECTION of the field, then θ = 0^o and the flux are taken as positive. If the flux is positive and increasing the VOLTAGE will be negative.
