Answer» Union Minister of State for Home Affairs, Kiren Rijiju, inaugurated the first national-level training of trainers programme for Sendai Framework in New Delhi. Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction (SFDRR), 2015-2030, adopted in March 2015 is an agreement among United Nations Member countries to prevent new and reduce existing disaster risks. The three-day training programme has been organised to familiarise various Central Government Ministries and Departments on utilisation of Sendai Monitor for developing act ion plans for Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR). It has been organised by the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) in collaboration with the United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction-Global Education and Training Institute (UNISDR-GETI).
