  • By 1933 they had produced a few televisions and actually had sold a few to PRIVATE owners by 1940; but development on TV stopped during World WAR 2, resuming in 1946; by 1950 there were a few thousand TVS in LESS than 1% of homes. It was around 1960 when TV was in 75% of homes, and by 1970 it was in about 95% of homes.
