Why Do M1 And M2 Single-wide Servers Have A Different Memory Type From The M1 And M2 Double-wide Servers?

Answer»

Due to the physical size restrictions of the single-wide SERVERS, only Very Low PROFILE (VLP) DIMMs can fit. The double-wide servers have more space available and can therefore use bigger MEMORY modules.
