1.

Why do stable nuclie never have more protons than neutrons?

Answer»

Solution :As is known, protons are positively charged and REPEL eachother electrically. In nuclei with more than 10 protons or so, the force of repulstion becomes too large. Therefore, excess of NEUTRONS is required for stability. This isbecause neutrons produce only ATTRACTIVE (nuclear) force amongst them.
