Answer» Measurement is the action of MEASURING something. It plays an important ROLE in our lives, as we need to measure many things from time to time.If we have to travel to some place, we need to know exactly how far it is, so that we can decide the mode of transport to be used. The length between the two points, i.e. where we are right now and where we want to reach is called the distance between those points (places).Apart from measuring distance, there are also times when we need to measure length or width of an object, for EXAMPLE carpenters measure furniture to know how much material they would need to CONSTRUCT it. |
