1.	Write the principle of the following : Froth floatation process.
Answer» Solution :This method is used for the concentration of sulphide ore. A SUSPENSION of the powdered ore is made with water. COLLECTORS and stabilisers are added to it. The mineral particles become wet by oils while the gangue particles by water. A rotating PADDLE agitates the mixture and draws air. A froth is formed which CARRIES the mineral particles to the top from where it is collected.
