1.	Write two uses of ClO_2 .
Answer» Solution :(i) It is an EXCELLENT bleaching agent. Its bleaching power is about 30 times higher than that of `Cl_2`. It is used for bleaching FLOUR to make white bread. (ii) `ClO_2` is a POWERFUL OXIDISING agent and chlorinating agent. Large QUANTITIES of `ClO_2` are used for bleaching wood pulp and cellulose and for purifying drinking water.
