so, ( 2+√3)^2 = 4+ 3+ 4√3 = 7+4√3

now we find 1/ x^2

= 1/7+4√3× 7-4√3/7-4√3

= 7-4√3+/ 49- 48

now we ADD x^2 + 1/ x^2 and we get,

= 7-4√3/1 + 7+ 4√3/1

= 14
