I am writing this letter to express my deep concern over the DETERIORATION of moral values in young generation. The standards in academics, behavior, SPORTS, and other areas are falling. This has direct connection to the degradation of values among the youngsters. In their search for shortcuts and easy life, they are making compromises with the morals, ETHICS, and values.

Character building has become subservient to personal gains. As a result there is corruption everywhere. Where will it lead our nation? A country whose people compromise with values can’t ever become a GREAT nation.

In such a scenario it is the responsibility of schools and colleges to instill values in the minds of students at any cost. The Government must ensure there is no further deterioration of values. I appeal to the parents and teachers to play an active ROLE in inculcating values in the youngsters. Kindly give my views some space in your widely circulated daily.

17 December 2019, Mumbai: School bus heading towards school during busy morning hours collided with a truck near Ghatkopar railway STATION. 10 CHILDREN were killed, 12 were injured. Bus driver was severely injured. Injured people were immediately taken to HOSPITAL.
