What lead to the decline of European science. |
Answer» Using a data set of highly CITED researchers in all fields of science, we show that the gapin scientific performance between Europe, especially CONTINENTAL Europe, and the USAis large. We model the number of highly cited researchers in a sample of countries as afunction of physical and human capital and a country-specific, factor-augmentingHicks-neutral productivity term. We find that differences in productivity betweenAnglo-Saxon countries and other countries are not solely due to differences in the levelsof inputs. Not surprisingly, our results reveal the importance of English proficiency. However, they ALSO show that the governance and design of research institutions thatcharacterize Anglo-Saxon countries, as well as a few other countries that have similarinstitutions, is another critical factor for research OUTPUT. Write an article on Imperial Russian Army explaining its role in Russian Revolution |
Answer» The Imperial Russian Army was the land armed force of the Russian Empire, active from around 1721 to the Russian Revolution of 1917. In the early 1850s, the Russian army consisted of more than 900,000 regular soldiers and nearly 250,000 irregulars The Imperial Russian Army entered the Napoleonic Wars organized administratively and in the field on the same principles as it had been in the 18th century of units being assigned to campaign headquarters, and the "army" being known either for its senior commander, or the area of its operations. Administratively, the regiments were assigned to Military Inspections, the predecessors of military districts, and included the conscript training depots, garrisons and fortress troops and MUNITIONS magazines. In 1806 most of the Inspections were abolished, and replaced by divisions based on the French model although still territorially based. By 1809 there were 25 infantry divisions as permanent field FORMATIONS, each organised around three infantry brigade and one ARTILLERY brigade. When Barclay de Tolly became the Minister of War in 1810, he instituted further reorganization and other changes in the army, down to company level, that saw the creation of separate grenadier divisions, and dedication of one brigade in each division to the jaeger light infantry for skirmishing in open order formations. Amid the Russian Revolution of 1917 the Imperial Russian Army collapsed and dissolved. The rebellious remnants of the Imperial army evolved to became part of the new RED Army. Hope it HELPS :) |

How did the first world war affect the 1917 russian revolution? |
Answer» Answer: Throughout WWI, the Germans were fighting a two-front war. They were fighting against France and ENGLAND in the west and against Russia in the east. This meant, of course, that they had to divide their military strength between the two fronts. In 1918, the Bolsheviks concluded the Treaty of Brest-Litovsk with the Germans. Now, the Eastern Front no longer existed for the Germans. They could take their troops from that front and throw them into the Spring OFFENSIVE that started a few weeks later on the Western Front. This helped the Germans to some degree. However, the help that came from bringing the troops from the Eastern Front was negated by the influx of American troops since the US had finally started to get its military fully INVOLVED in the war by that time. Even with the movement of troops from the Eastern Front, the German offensive failed and the Germans lost the war. Thus, the RUSSIAN Revolution did not change the outcome of the war. It changed some of the details of how the war PLAYED out, but it did not change the ultimate outcome. |

Explain what is meant by the 1848 revolution of liberals |
Answer» Answer: Revolutions of 1848, series of republican revolts against European monarchies, beginning in Sicily, and spreading to France, Germany, Italy, and the Austrian Empire. They all ended in failure and repression, and were followed by widespread disillusionment among liberals. The revolutionary movement began in Italy with a local revolution in Sicily in January 1848; and, after the revolution of February 24 in France, the movement extended throughout the whole of Europe with the exception of Russia, Spain, and the Scandinavian countries. In Great Britain it amounted to little more than a Chartist demonstration and a republican agitation in Ireland. In Belgium, the Netherlands, and Denmark it MANIFESTED itself in peaceful reforms of existing INSTITUTIONS; but democratic insurrections broke out in the capitals of the three great monarchies, Paris, Vienna, and Berlin, where the governments, rendered powerless by their fear of “the revolution,” did little to defend themselves. The revolution was SUCCESSFUL in France alone; the Second Republic and universal manhood suffrage were established, but the quarrel between the supporters of the république démocratique and the PARTISANS of république démocratique et sociale culminated in a workers’ insurrection in June 1848. In Austria, where the new ministers promised to grant constitutions, the monarchy withstood the storm; and in Prussia King Frederick William IV, who LED the movement for the unification of Germany, hoisted the black, red, and gold flag that had become the symbol of German unity. The German governments agreed to the convocation of three constituent assemblies at Berlin, Vienna, and Frankfurt by which democratic constitutions were to be drafted for Prussia, Austria, and Germany. In Italy, at first, the revolution only took the form of a nationalist rising against Austria led by the king of Sardinia under the Italian tricolour, the “white, red and green.” The republic was proclaimed in 1849, and then only in Rome and Tuscany. Within the Austrian empire the nationalities subjected to the German Government of Vienna agitated for a national government, and Hungary succeeded in organizing itself on an autonomous basis. |

Speech of mesolithic age |
Answer» Answer: Introduction Mesolithic is referred as the middle age of stone. In India, it is richer in the matter of quality and quantity and it is the preceding age STAGE of Stone Age, which is described as the Paleolithic age. The Paleolithic age has made the great revolution in the industries and the involvement of this stone in the industries is happening from the history. India is the second cultural phase of the Mesolithic culture and Pleistocene. Who discovered the Mesolithic age The Carllayle has discovered the Indian microlithism, which was first marked by him, early 1867 from the Vindhyan rock-shelter. The Cockburn and Rivett Carnac discovered more microlithic sites. They were the great scholars, who considered these industries as ‘Proto-Neolithic There are the more systematic studies were initiated by the Prehistoric Archaeologist like, Sankalia, Zeuner, Krishnaswami, Lal Subarao, Allchin, Malik and others. Industries in Middle stone age It is the industries are survived in many areas and after certain times, it DAWN at least in the historic times, it was showing the transition from Paleolithic industries to a more advanced type of industries. During the probability of the end of Paleolithic age from the industry, it was witnessed by the Country of Asia, Africa, Europe and also the India has also attend the climate change of the stone age. Losses during climatic change Because of the climatic change in the several cities create bad effects on the human being also and they bear the many losses of life. In the form of Microlithis, ARCHAEOLOGICAL evidence of this environment has widespread during the climate change, but that was not supported by stratigraphical, geo-chronological and palaeo-biological data. Significance of Middle stone age It has the great cultural significance, which is carried on short level. There are some great people have thinks and stated about the significance of the Middle stone age, which are follows as: According to Stuart Piggott, “The Indian Microlithic industries have not get any site in a geological deposit of known age or in such stratigraphical RELATIONSHIP to earlier human industries that a connection with the final phases of Paleolithic cultures can be shown”. According to Sankalia, in India, the term ‘Mesolithic’ stands for the Late Stone Age because it does not bear the same stratigraphic, chronological, TYPOLOGICAL and economic significance as in other parts of the world, particularly like England, Western and Northern Europe, parts of Africa and the Palestine. The term may conventionally be applied in India, to denote a cultural stage, which is represented by Microlithic industry and not associated with pottery. It also antedates the earliest farming-based village cultures. According to Robert Bruce Foote, these tiny implements Microliths in the Neolithic period, he coined the term Proto-Neolitic to refer the culture of the regions where Microliths had occurred with potsherd. According to definitely denotes a higher state of life. The evidences of ‘Mesolithic stage’ in India are quantitatively and qualitatively richer than the preceding stage of Stone Age, the Paleolithic Age. In certain areas, these industries have survived at lea Features of Middle Stone Age The first striking feature is that microlithism is totally absent in north India. Bridget Allchin made a futile attempt to co-relate the late Sohan industry of the north with the microlithic studded Nevasian culture of central India. Typological dissimilarities in both the cultures made it an idea of ‘academic significance’. The second characteristic feature is that the sudden disappearance pebble tools which were conspicuous in the preceding cultures. The third feature is that the heavier tools could not be discovered in the microlithic assemblages, excepting a few sites in Western and Central India. Describe the role of sources is knowing our past .How are sources helpful in historians? |
Answer» There are obstacles that make it so we do not have a crystal clear, uninterrupted view of the past. FIRSTLY, we have to remember that everyone – not just us, but also people throughout history – is shaped by their UPBRINGING and the societies and times they live in, and we need to be careful not to stick our own labels and values onto past periods. Secondly, our view of the past is made up from the total of THINGS that somehow happened to survive the test of time, which is due to coincidences and decisions made by people before our time. So, we only get a fragmentary, distorted view; it is LIKE trying to complete a puzzle with a lot of oddly shaped and missing pieces. hope helpful for you ✌️✌️✌️ plz FOLLOW me |
