Distinguish between individualistic and idealistic theories on state

Answer»

Theory is otherwise known as “the Laissez Faire Theory.” According to this theory, the State should 'leave alone' the individuals and should not INTERFERE in the sphere of individual activities. It PUTS emphasis on individual HAPPINESS and prosperity.

Meaning of Idealistic Theory of State. The basic principle of this theory is that the state is an end and the individual is a means. Democracy is all about political competition and power play there is no scope for morality justify this statement by giving arguments against democracy

Answer»

You are obviously a hater of democracy, and do not understand how it is supposed to work. If we were in a court of law, I’d object to the QUESTION on the grounds that it is incompetent, irrelevant, immaterial, and goes to matters not in evidence before the court. I’d also go to the Bar Association’s disciplinary committee and file a COMPLAINT, requesting your suspension from the Bar, and the practice of law in this state.

But that’s the reason you asked this question ANONYMOUSLY, isn’t it?

If democracy were all about competition and power play, then the necessity for morality would be greater than we can actually is. But it is not.

Democracy is about governance, directly or indirectly, by a majority of the citizens of a nation. To quote Teddy Roosevelt, “We are the government, You and I.” The morality of a democracy is directly proportional to the morality and the sense of duty of the citizens who MAKE it up.

In the United States, since Ronald Reagan, the sense of duty among our citizens regarding the government, because the conservatives and libertarians are continually intoning their hideous mantra, “Government is the problem, not the solution.” But how can that be when our nation is founded on the doctrine that We the People are the Government.

The answer is it cannot.

Our sense of duty was damaged by events in the 60’s and 70’s including Watergate, Vietnam, and the murders of JFK, RFK, and MLK, Jr.. Our government representatives have done nothing since to re-establish our trust in them at any level. We have failed by being lazy, and not demanding a re-establishment of that trust.

The only good thing I see about DONALD Trump is that his Presidency might get enough of us off of

I can only pray that this will occur.

Definition of state is inclusive and MAY include other bodies than executive, legislature of union and states which have been ENUMERATED explicitly in the article 12.Any such authority which has POWER to make any law, pass any order, make an regulation, bye-laws etc. come under definition of state. Thus Panchayats, municipalities, district boards and other statutory, constitutional bodies come within the definition of state.Statutory and non-statutory bodies that get financial resources from government , have deep pervasive control of government and with FUNCTIONAL characters as such as ICAR, CSIR, ONGC, IDBI, Electricity Boards, NAFED, Delhi Transport corporation etc. come under the definition of state.Statutory and Non-statutory bodies which are not substantially generally financed by the government don’t come under definition of state. Merits and demrits of democracy in points in hindi

Answer» SOLUTION :-

Merits of Democracy

1) A democratic government is a better government because it is more accountable form of government.

2) Democracy improves the quality of decision making.

3) Democracy provides a method to deal with differences and conflicts. It is suitable to countries like India, which have diversity of language, RELIGION and cultures.

4) In democracy, no one is a permanent winner or looser.

5) Democracy allows us to correct its own mistakes

6) In democracy, people are their own masters.

7) Equality is the basic point in democracy. It ensures equality before law.

Demerits of Democracy

1) LEADERS keep changing in a democracy. This leads to instability.

2) Democracy is all about political competition and power play. There is no scope for morality.

3) Elected leaders do not know the best interest of the people. It leads to bad decisions.

4) In democracy, rulers can be incompetent persons.

5) Democracy leads to corruption as it is based on electoral competition.

6) Democracy is based on quantity not on quality. Majority party HOLDS the reign of government. Inefficient and corrupt persons get themselves elected. They neither intelligence nor vision.

7) In democracy, lot of money is spent at the time of elections. Politicians waste public money on their election campaign. Also, ruling party leaders waste money on private tours.
