short note on process of chromatography in brief. Plzzzz it's urgent do it fast

Answer»

HEYA MATE,

HERE IS UR ANSWER.

Thanks for asking this question.

The process in which the MIXTURE is dissolved in a fluid called the mobile phase, which carries it through a STRUCTURE holding another MATERIAL called the stationary phase is called chromatography.

Mixtures that are suitable for separation by chromatography include inks, DYES and colouring agents in food.

Simple chromatography is carried out on paper. A spot of the mixture is placed near the bottom of a piece of chromatography paper and the paper is then placed upright in a suitable solvent, eg water. As the solvent soaks up the paper, it carries the mixtures with it. DIFFERENT components of the mixture will move at different rates. This separates the mixture out.

There are several ways to accomplish this but one thing that all chromatography shares in common is the use of a mobile phase and a stationary phase.

Answer»

The main issue is the pressure per UNIT area.

Usually we apply same amount of pressures for sharp as well as BLUNT knife.

Since a sharp knife occupies less area than blunt knife.

As a result sharp knife provides pressure per unit are more than blunt ONE which has less pressure per unit area ,as it occupies less area.

Sharp knife can effectively cut the fruit because the area under CONTACT via QUITE small when compared to the blunt knife.

Suggest some steps taken for the conservation of forest by NGO's in India.

Answer»

Forests are our most important natural resources. They provide us with PLANT and ANIMAL life and a number of other advantages. The forest coverage of any place helps in maintaining climate of the place. They also prevent the soil from being washed away by floods and rain.

Forests are also important source of vegetation and food for both man and animals. With an aim to protect the forest within the country, both government authorities and NGOS are performing a number of tasks.

ONE of the most effective ways is to try and educate the tribal people of the importance of conserving wild life and natural forest by preventing cutting down trees.

• On regular basis the NGO organizations try and visit the local forest region and study the pattern of forest regeneration.

• NGOs also ensure that the cutting down of trees in the forest is carried out under regulated conditions such that new trees are planted back replacing the ones that have been lost.

• They carry out various programmes to educate the people of the right method to follow to help CONSERVE forest and its resources.

What do you mean by tetravalent of carbon??

Answer»

A carbon atom has FOUR electrons in its outermost valence shell. So, it needs four more electrons to complete its octet. A carbon atom completes its octet only by sharing its valence electrons with other ATOMS. As a result, carbon atom forms four covalent bonds by sharing valence electrons with other atoms. This is KNOWN as tetravalency of carbon,(tetra means four). These four VALENCES of carbon are directed towards four corners of a tetrahedron, and inclined to each other ATOMIC an angle of a 109° 28´.

46.

A particle of mass m is located in a region where its potential energy [U(x)]depends on the position x as potential energy [U(x)] = a/x2-b/x here a and b are positive constants.....write dimensional formula of a and b.QUALITY REQUIRED

Answer» POTENTIAL energy , U=((A)x1/2)/(X+B)U=((A)x1/2)/(x+B)

We know DIMENSION for energy [U]=[ML2T−2ML2T−2]

For TWO QUANTITIES to be added the have to be the same dimension. Hence B has dimensions of x.

=> [B]=L

Hence [U]=[[ML2T−2]=(([A])L1/2/L)ML2T−2]=(([A])L1/2/L)

=[A]L−1/2=[A]L−1/2

=> [A]=ML5/2T−2
