Write the guidelines followed by the public while arresting an accused

Answer»

The rules regarding what an officer must do while making an arrest vary by jurisdiction. Generally, an arrest happens when the person being arrested reasonably believes that she is not FREE to LEAVE. The officer need not use handcuffs, or PLACE the arrestee in a police CRUISER, although police often use these tactics to protect themselves. Police also do not have to read MIRANDA Rights at the time of arrest.

However, the police must read a suspect his Miranda Rights before an interrogation, so many police departments recommend that Miranda Rights be read at the time of arrest. This way, they can start questioning right away, and also, any information volunteered by a suspect can be used against them. Finally, although police will almost always tell an arrestee why they are under arrest, they may not necessarily have any legal obligation to do so. This depends on both the jurisdiction and the circumstances of the arrest.

European colonisation introduced several new structures in the Indian architecture . Justify the statement.

Answer»

Like all other ASPECTS of society, the colonization of India also had a great impact on architecture. Colonization marked a new chapter in Indian architecture. Though the Dutch, the Portuguese and the French made their presence felt through their buildings but it was the English who had a lasting impact on architecture of India. In the beginning of the colonial rule there were attempts at creating authority through classical prototypes. In its later phase the colonial architecture culminated into what is called the Indo-Saracenic architecture. The Indo-Saracenic architecture combined the features of Hindu, Islamic and western elements. The colonial architecture exhibited itself through institutional, civic and UTILITARIAN buildings such as post offices, railway stations, rest houses and government buildings. Such buildings began to be built in large numbers over the whole empire. Colonial architecture in India followed developments not only from metropolis but also took inspiration from existing architecture in India.

From the mid NINETEENTH century it became a norm for the Anglo-Indian church builders to follow the model set by the revivers of the many combinations of Gothic ART in England. In many buildings imperialism was the sole guiding force rather than practicality. On many occasions heavier styles than Gothic were employed. This can be seen in the Mutiny Memorial Church at Kanpur and the last garrison church in New Delhi.

The Italian Gothic was seen to be well adapted to conditions in India. The architecture style recommended by Sir Gilbert SCOTT for Bombay University proved crucial in making the colonial architecture look more 'Indian'. Perhaps this was the beginning of a truly imperial style that reached its apex at New Delhi.

What was the reason for expansion of Bombay during the early decades of 20 century

Answer»

Human habitation of Mumbai existed since the STONE Age, the Kolis (a Marathi fishing community[1]) were the earliest known settlers of the islands. The Maurya Empire gained control of the islands during the 3rd century BCE and transformed it into a centre of Hindu and Buddhist culture and religion. Later, between the 2nd century BCE and 9th century CE, the islands came under the control of successive indigenous dynasties: Satavahanas, Abhiras, Vakatakas, KALACHURIS, Konkan Mauryas, Chalukyas and Rashtrakutas, before being ruled by the Silharas from 810 to 1260.

King Bhimdev established his kingdom in the region in the late 13th century, and brought many settlers to the islands. The Muslim rulers of Gujarat captured the islands in 1348, and they were later governed by the Gujarat Sultanate from 1391 to 1534. The Treaty of Bassein between the Portuguese viceroy Nuno da Cunha and Bahadur Shah of the Gujarat Sultanate placed the islands into Portuguese possession in 1534.

The islands suffered incursions from Mughals towards the end of the 17th century. During the mid-18th century, the city emerged as an important trading town, with maritime trade contacts with Mecca and Basra. Economic and EDUCATIONAL development characterised the city during the 19th century with the first-ever Indian railway line beginning operations between Mumbai and neighbouring Thane in 1853. The city became a strong base for the Indian independence movement during the early 20th century and was the epicentre of the Rowlatt Satyagraha of 1919 and Royal Indian Navy Mutiny of 1946.[2] After India's independence in 1947, the territory of Bombay Presidency retained by India was restructured into Bombay State. The area of Bombay State increased, after several erstwhile princely states that joined the Indian union were integrated into Bombay State.

In 1960, following protests from the Samyukta Maharashtra movement, the city was incorporated into the dominion of the newly created Maharashtra State from Bombay State. The city's secular fabric was torn apart in the communal riots of 1992–93, while the bombings of 1993 caused extensive LOSS of life and property. The city was renamed Mumbai on 6 March 1996.

How industrialisation changed the European society

Answer»

✨hey mate here is the answer ✨

The industrial revolution in Europe brought about many changes in the field of agriculture, manufacturing, mining and transport. The ONSET of the industrial revolution marked a major turning point in human history. Almost every aspect of daily life was eventually influenced in some way. Ordinary working people found increased opportunities for employment in factories and mills, but these were often under strict working conditions with long hours of labour dominated by a pace set by machines. Urbanization in Europe increased during industrialization. Cities in the 19th century became places of manufacture and industry. More people moved to the cities because there were more jobs in the cities.
Industrialization brought changes in the social structure. Due to the development of industry and commerce, there was a development of middle class referred to as the 'bourgeoisie'. The class consisted of people of common birth that traded and did other capitalist things. There were several middle classes. The wealthiest bourgeois were bankers, owner of factories and mines, merchants, shopkeepers, managers, lawyers, DOCTORS etc. These middle class people were ambitious hard workers. It took a while for the middle class to stop the political, economical and social discrimination, which it had to deal with. Eventually the middle class gained political power and social respect. The new elite of society during the industrial age were not aristocrats, but the wealthy bourgeois.
The labour class consisted of three levels of labourers. These were rural labourers, the miners and the CITY workers. Farmers and cottage workers were considered as rural labourers. City workers consisted of artisans, factory workers and servants. Artisans were the largest group of city workers untill the 1850s due to competition from cheap factory made goods, which lessen the need for some artisans. Servants were very abundant in the cities. During the beginning of the industrialization rural workers destroyed machinery because of their CURRENT condition and low wages.
It took about a hundred years for working condition to improve. The social structure changed due the development of a new social class and division within classes. New technology improved the life of the people but it had positive and negative affects on the people of Europe.

thanks
have a nice day

45.

Write short note on ocean current

Answer»

An ocean current is a continuous, DIRECTED movement of sea water generated by a number forces acting upon the water, including WIND, the Coriolis effect, breaking WAVES, cabbeling, and temperature and salinity differences. Depth contours, shorelineconfigurations, and interactions with other currents influence a current's direction and strength. Ocean currents are primarily horizontal water movements.

Ocean currents flow for great distances, and together, create the global conveyor beltwhich plays a dominant role in determining the climate of many of the Earth’s regions. More specifically, ocean currents influence the temperature of the regions through which they travel. For example, warm currents traveling along more temperate coasts INCREASE the temperature of the area by warming the sea breezes that blow over them. Perhaps the most striking example is the Gulf Stream, which makes northwest Europe much more temperate than any other region at the same latitude. ANOTHER example is Lima, Peru, where the climate is cooler, being sub-tropical, than the tropical latitudes in which the area is located, due to the effect of the Humboldt Current.
