Why do we need democracy give 5 points

Answer»

Democracy is considered to be the best form of government these days. Most of the countries in the world have adopted it. The following arguments have been given in favour of Democracy:

(i) Safeguards the interests of the people:

Chief merit of democracy lies in that it safeguards the interests of the people. Real power lies in the hands of the people who exercise it by the representatives elected by them and who are responsible to them. It is said that social, economic and political interests of the individuals are served better under this SYSTEM.

(ii) Based on the principle of equality:

Democracy is based on the principle of equality. All members of the State are equal in the eyes of law. All enjoy equal social, political and economic rights and state cannot discriminate among citizens on the basis of caste, religion, sex, or property. All have equal right to choose their government.

(iii) Stability and responsibility in administration:

Democracy is known for its stability, firmness and efficiency. These days tenure of the elected representatives is fixed. They form a stable government because it is based on public support. The administration is conducted with a sense of responsibility. In representative democracy, people's representatives discuss matters more thoroughly and take reasonable DECISION.

Under monarchy the Monarch takes decisions as he pleases. Under dictatorship, the dictators do not involve people at all in decision making, people have no right to criticise the decisions of the dictator even when they are bad and against people's welfare.

(iv) Political education to the people:

Another argument given in favour of democracy is that it serves as a training school for citizens. People get impetus to take part in the affairs of the state. At the TIME of elections political parties propose their policy and programme in support of their candidates. All means of propaganda-public MEETINGS, posters, radio, television and speeches by important leaders of the parties- are used to win public favour. It creates political consciousness among the people.

(v) Little chance of revolution:

Since democracy is based on public will, there is no chance of public revolt. Representatives elected by the people conduct the affairs of the state with public support. If they don't WORK efficiently or don't come up to the expectations of their masters i.e., the public, they are thrown in the dustbin of history when elections are held again. Gilchrist opines that democracy or popular governments always function with consensus and therefore question of revolt or revolution does not arise.

(vi) Stable government:

Democracy is based on public will. It conducts state business with public support. It is, therefore, more stable than other forms of Government.

(vii) Helps in making people good citizens:

Success of democracy lies on its good citizens. Democracy creates proper environment for the development of personality and cultivating good habits. D. Tacquville is of opinion that "Democracy is the first school of good citizenship. Citizens learn their rights and duties from birth till death in it."

(viii) Based on public opinion:

Democratic administration is based on public will, public opinion lends it strength. It is not based on fear of authority. Gettel is of opinion that democracy stands on consensus, not on power; it admits the existence of state for individual, not individual for the state. It lends development and progress to individual and arouses his interest in social activities. Individuals readily take active part in such a government. And this is because of the eminence, devotion and conviction in man found in the nature of democracy itself.

PLEASE MARK ME AS BRAINLIST BRO

Antyodaya Anna Yojana (AAY) is aGovernment of India sponsored scheme to provide highly subsidised food to millions of the poorest FAMILIES. This scheme was BRAIN CHILD of then union food and civil supplies minister, Shanta Kumar. It was launched by the [NDA] government on 25 December 2000 and first implemented in the Indian state ofRajasthan.

After identifying the "poorest of the poor" (the 10,000,000 poorest families in the Below Poverty Line category) through extensive surveying,[1] the government began providing them an opportunity to purchase up to 35kilograms of rice and wheat at a highly subsidised cost of three rupees per kilogram of rice and two rupees per kilogram of wheat. Poor families were identified by their respective state rural development facilities through use of SURVEYS. Internal Structure of the EarthLet us look at the internal structure of the Earth we live on. We can see the continuity from the early days of the formation of the earth as we try to look deep inside the Earth! It took us years of scientific investigation and analysis of data to form an understanding of the interior of the Earth. The main reason for this is that even the deepest mines we have dug do not go beyond a few kilometres under the surface while the radius or the distance to the centre of the earth is over 6000 kilometres! The earth is made upof three main layers1. Crust2. Mantle3. Core1. Crust: We live on the outer part of the earth which is called the crust. You saw in the last section how this layer was formed. This layer goes up to a depth of 30- 100 kms. The crust mostly consists of various kinds of rocks.2. Mantle: It is 100-2,900 kms in thickness. The upper part of the mantle is a pliable layer over which the crust floats. This consists mainly of chemicals called silicates.3. Core: The core is 2,900 to 6376 kms in thickness. It is composed of dense and heavy substances like iron and nickel. It can be divided into two sub layers.Outer Core: 2,900 to 5,100 kms composed of liquid metallic material likenickel and iron.Inner Core: The solid inner core (5,100 – 6,376 kms) of the earth is made up of Iron compounds and heavy substances like gold. Interestingly matter from deep inside the mantle shoots up through volcanoes and fissures on ocean floors and cools down to form the earth’s crust. In many regions on the earth part of the earth’s crust enters into the mantle and once again becomes molten. This constant process of formation and destruction of the crust explains the fact that our Earth is still very active. The crust on which we live is still being changed by earthquakes, volcanoes, subduction of land and rise of mountains due to processes happening deep down the earth.Read the above paragraph of “ Internal structure of the earth” and answer the question. How can you say the earth is still very active?

Answer»

In MANY regions on the EARTH part of the earth’s crust ENTERS into the mantle and once again becomes molten. This constant process of formation and destruction of the crust explains the fact that our Earth is still very active. The crust on which we live is still being changed by earthquakes, VOLCANOES,subduction of land and rise of mountains due to processes happening DEEP down the earth.

Debate on the Topic:-Beautiful Wife is better or a Brainy Wife....(Do in More than 10 points)

Answer»

Beautiful Wife is better or a Brainy Wife

Good morning everyone present here, I stand before you to express my views on ' Beautiful Wife is better or a Brainy Wife’; and I am going to speak against the motion.

I strongly believe it is far better to have a brainy wife than a beautiful wife. You must be amazed at my choice; WELL, I have the experiential data that proves beautiful wives are far worse than Pandora’s Box. A beautiful wife will devote all her resources and energies in maintaining her beauty and looks. It MEANS she will SPEND money and time on maintaining that beauty at the cost of house-hold obligations and duties. This will lead to disorder and chaos at home.

Secondly, I know many cases involving men who had beautiful wives and who were thrown into depression and misery on account of the infidelity, liaisons, and extra-marital relations.

I strongly believe in the famous idiom ‘beauty is only skin-deep’ which means a person’s physical appearance is less important than his character is enough to CONVEY that beauty of mind is more important than beautiful complexion. Beautiful complexion may appeal to the senses, but beauty of the mind appeals to the soul.

It has been seen that fair complexioned women have always been synonymous with sandals, conflicts and wars. For example, Helen of Sparta, for whom thousands of soldiers had to die in vain. Even in the contemporary times we see so many controversies surrounding the so called fair-complexioned women or men, especially the celebrities.

On the other hand, a brainy wife is a gift from heaven; she is sensible, responsible, and runs the family engine quite EFFICIENTLY. Someone has very wisely said: ‘Beauty isn’t about having a pretty face. It is about having a pretty mind, a pretty heart, and most importantly, a beautiful soul.’ Really beautiful people are those whose mind is beautiful and an people who think beautiful thoughts and do beautiful deeds. A brainy wife surely thinks great thoughts. She is not the cause of any tension; rather she reduces tensions and manages the family and relationships well.

So, I conclude my debate by saying that a brainy wife is better than beautiful wife.

Explain the three origin of social differences

Answer»

☺️☺️☺️HEY MATE YOUR ANSWER IS HERE....☺️
There are MANY origins of social differences
(i) Social difference means difference in a set of people DUE to difference in their race, religion, language or culture. But these differences are more than an accident of nature.
A person does not choose his community where he would be born. He just happens to be born in a PARTICULAR community. People are tall or short, dark or fair, male or female, more by accident.and not by their own choice.
(ii) However, some choices can be made by us. People choose to follow or not to follow a particular religion. They can choose their field of study and the career path, games and CULTURAL activities.
(iii) Social differences are also created by economic inequalities existing in the society, e.g. RICH and poor persons from the same family often do not keep close relation with each other for they feel they are very different.

What was the difference between the civil rights movement and the black power movement in the USA ?

Answer»

The Civil Rights Movement: the Non-Violent Approach

March on Washington

Civil Rights Leader Rosa Parks

Fotograf: Bettmann

In the 1950s and 1960s, most of the African American population was concentrated in the South; thus it was in these STATES that racial inequality was most blatant. Since Brown v. Board of Education of 1954 did not stipulate any time limit, educational segregation existed well into the 1960s. This represented an almost insurmountable obstacle to economic OPPORTUNITY for African Americans – and young African Americans were impatient for change.

African Americans had struggled for civil rights ever since Emancipation, but it wasn’t until the Supreme Court decision in Brown v Board of Education, that the plight of African Americans was brought into the general public eye – not only in the U.S, but also internationally. Now the Civil Rights Movement emerged as an organized FIGHT to secure basic rights and privileges for all U.S. citizens. It turned into a mass popular movement, including both African Americans and Whites; it encompassed a wide RANGE of small, local groups and nation-wide organizations like the NAACP (National Association for the Advancement of Colored People), CORE (Congress of Racial Equality), the SNCC (Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee) and the SCLC (Southern Christian Leadership Conference).

The Black POWER Movement: The Violent Approach

Black Power

Black Power

Fotograf: The Granger Collection

While non-violence helped bring about such important legislation as the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the Voting Rights Act of 1965, many activists were becoming increasingly discontented with the slow pace of progress. Like the activists of the Civil Rights Movement, their goal was complete racial equality. The main difference between the two movements was that supporters of Black Power were prepared to use violent methods to achieve these goals.

Proponents of the Black Power Movement did not constitute a homogenous group. They divided themselves into two main groups: the pluralists and the nationalists. Those who believed in integration and that it was possible for all races to live together peacefully were called pluralists. The nationalists, however, believed that the dominant White culture was bound to oppress Black culture, therefore, they wanted to withdraw from American society and develop their own society. Some thought it would be a good idea to do this in Africa. Others hoped for a separate black nation within the USA. The man who popularized the term “black power,” Stokely Carmichael, started out as a pluralist, but eventually became a nationalist.
