I can tell this is a trick question, but I’m pretty sure I’ve seen a computer around here somewhere. Let me get up from this DESK and take my hands off of this keyboard so I can see around this big monitor in front of me. It’s ALSO hard to see around this MacBook that I use for work since it sits right next to the aforementioned monitor. Not to mention the big black tower thingy on the other side next to the monitor. The thing with the blue LED fan spinning thingys that my keyboard and monitor is CABLED to. But before I get up, let me disconnect my smart phone from the charger and take that with me. Give me a minute. I’ll FIND it.

I realize that the answer above might be too flippant. Maybe I need to think about this more. Maybe this question is more existential or philosophical in nature.

Have you seen a computer?

I mean really seen it? Seen past the metal and plastic exterior and past the components inside to what a computer really is? Do we really UNDERSTAND what a computer is today? A portal to friends and family. A portal to entertainment. A portal to knowledge. A portal to entertainment and knowledge. (Sometimes those can be combined.) A portal to the good in the world. And the bad. Yes, I think I have seen a computer. And I’m glad
