Answer» Here initial velocity is V , so initial energy is 1/2*(m)v². niw this energy will just be converted in compression of spring and , the energy will be stored as potential energy the compression would be 1/2*(k)*(x²) = 1/2*(m)v² => x² = mv²/k so x = V.√(m/k) so all the energy will be stored in spring.. and no. work will be done on the wall. also since wall is fixed so , no displacement will be there.. and in term W = 0. |
