Answer»

Let original cost price of the GOODS be Rs. 100

He marked his goods at 50% above the cost price,

∴ Marked price of the goods = Rs. 150

He gives a discount of 20% on marked price,

∴ Selling Price = 150 × (80/100) = Rs. 120

? He weighs 20% less

∴ Actual cost price = 100 - (20% of 100) = Rs. 80

Profit = SP - CP = 120 - 80 = Rs. 40

∴ Profit percentage = $(\FRAC{{80{\rm{\;}} - {\rm{\;}}40}}{{80}} \times 100 = 50\%)$
