Answer» Solution :Air is a gaseous SUBSTANCE. The INTERMOLECULAR forces between the particles in gaseous FORM isnegligible. Thus, the distance between the molecules of air is very high. Air being gaseous is compressible. Thus, by APPLYING PRESSURE the molecules of air can be forced to get closer. So they can be compressed. Thus air can be filled in more proportion in tyres.
