1.

As the end-user, what is the simplest way to manage the cloud service my organization subscribe to?

Answer»

The cloud providers have what they call ‘Cloud Management’ as tools, aimed as administrative control over public, private and hybrid clouds. What’s more, the software is intended for the users to manage, ranging from capabilities, availability, security, utilization, resource allocations, workflow, automation, workload balancing, capacity planning, monitoring, controlling, orchestration, provisioning, budgeting, COST and expense, performance, reporting and even the migration of cloud products and services we have subscribed into.

On top of it, there are two TYPES of cloud management software. In-house software developed and offered by public, private and hybrid cloud provider and the second is mass product’s that comes from a third-party vendor to complement the aforementioned tools.

Over and above, if you choose public cloud then often time you will be GIVEN the option to manage your services with third-party tools simply because the servers, STORAGE, networking, and other infrastructure operations are taken care of by the providers.

Besides, if you are a private cloud user, the tool is required to create the virtualization and virtualized computing resources, deal with resource allocation, security, monitoring, tracking as well as billing through a self-service portal.

Cloud management is more complex to handle when it comes to hybrid cloud due to obligation on having to deal with the network, computing, and storage DEVICES across multiple domains including but not limited to installation, configuration, administration of instances, images, user accounts, and their access rights as part of Identity and Access Management.
